Blue Rill Day Camp Programs

As your Camper Grows - So Does our Program!

Blue Rill proudly develops programs that grow with your child - programs that expand to meet the social and physical needs of each age level. Our youngest campers, Sprouts, are three or four years old and are grouped together by age. Campers entering kindergarten through ninth grade are grouped together with children entering the same grade. Each division is comprised of two or more grade levels.

Blue Rill campers return each summer, anticipating the excitement and additional fun that the next division offers. Special events, shows, sports academies and leagues, crafts, specialties clubs and trips – all perfectly designed for each age group!

Our Sprouts bubble with excitement as they explore all that Blue Rill has to offer. Programs at Blue Rill Day Camp, Airmont, New York Three and four year old campers love “Sprout Central” – the ultimate home base for our pre-school campers. Sprouts love to play basketball, tennis, soccer and t-ball on perfectly sized courts and fields, and enjoy their own special area for crafts, imaginative play and fun! Of course, Sprouts enjoy activities all around camp, including pony rides, nature and explorers. Sprouts are supervised by adult group counselors, carefully chosen for their love and understanding of children. Sprouts choose from two terrific programs; a full day (9-4), or a mini day (9-2) – our sensational program is the perfect way to nurture the campers as they grow and prepare them for new adventures in the Freshman Division!

Freshman Division campers: Our fabulous Freshman campers, entering kindergarten and first grade, enjoy all aspects of Blue Rill. Sports academies, gymnastics and karate are just some of the activities where skills are developed and the fun never ends. Campers use their imagination at storytelling and our many craft projects. Senior counselors in the Freshman division are experienced adults who focus on fun and friendship, while keeping safety as their top priority. Programs at Blue Rill Day Camp, Airmont, New York

Tenth graders are eligible to interview for spots in our Counselor in Training Program. It's a great way for teens to move from "camper" to "leader" status at a camp where we care as much about our staff members as we care about our campers. CITs develop leadership and interpersonal skills as they learn the importance of being a positive influence in the development of children. Will they become future Blue Rill Staff members? We hope so. Our CIT program is the first place we look!
